Researches on Tea Germplasm

    China National Germplasm Hangzhou Tea Repository (CNGHTR) and China National Tea Germplasm Conservation Center were established in the TRI. A total of 2665 accessions of tea germplasm were preserved in the CNGHTR. More than 1000 accessions were systematically evaluated and appraised using multi-disciplinary approaches. Eighty-five assets of germplasm were screened for their elite properties. The research achievements in this respect were awarded the Second-grade Prizes for the Advancement of Science and Technology respectively by the State and the Ministry of Agriculture.
