Promotion of Agriculture through Extension Service

    Since the Ninth Five-year Plan, TRI imputed strengthened efforts to promote agriculture and aid the poor farmers through science and technology extension and education services. TRI set up over 40 demonstration sites in different tea producing counties and regions. Every year many scientists and experts of TRI leave their laboratories to the fields to offer technical consultation and services. They went to remote mountainous areas of Sichuan, Guizhou and Hubei provinces to help local farmers to rebuild tea factories or build new ones, and to provide new techniques and know-hows in tea production.
